Maui Trip Day #7

We hopped in the car and drove the Road to Hana.  We saw many water falls along the way.  The East side of the island is very lush and green.  The road is very windy so we took precautions and took Dramamine.  We didn't get sick, we just enjoyed the sights along the way.

In Hana, we went to the convenience store and stocked up on the essential beverages and Li Hing Mui gummy bears.  They were so good.  Perfect treat for the long drive.

After driving 32 miles, we came to Wai'anapanapa Black Sand Beach.  It is the only volcanic black sand beach on Maui.  We stumbled upon a cave the flows to the ocean.  This place is a real gem.

Off the side of the Road to Hana, we found a natural swimming pool.  Jeff took full advantage of its beauty and jumped in twice.  The water was very cold, so he didn't stay long.  Jeff really enjoyed his cold water plunge.  We stopped at Ohe'o Gulch (aka. 7 Sacred Pools).  IT has a series of water falls that lead to the ocean.  This was an ideal playground, where Jeff can rock jump to his hearts content.  He jumped multiple times, impressing onlookers.

We finished driving around the the island, and stopped at Kimo's once again to another Hula Pie.
