Fire & traffic detour

There was a bad fire near Ponderosa Road on Hwy 50. The fire was close to a power pole they thought would fall onto the highway, so they shut both lanes of traffic down. That meant I had to leave for work early and make a detour. The detour on Green Valley Road wasn't much better but at least we were moving. It took exactly one hour to get to work when it usually takes 20-25 minutes. From what I heard it took people 90 minutes to go 2 miles. I think my detour was a good choice.
