Monterey Getaway

We bought our bikes and rode along the bike trail through Monterey.  We rode a total of 13 miles.

The beautiful Monterey Bay!

We rode our bikes to Lovers Point Park

We rode on to Pacific Grove Marine Gardens State Park

The cutest lighthouse in Monterey

 The famous Cannery Row

You can't go to Monterey without eating a Sourdough Bread Bowl from Fish Hopper Seafood & Steaks.  We enjoyed the soup while sitting on the beach.

We drove 17-mile Drive and saw the Lone Cypress.

We went to Pebble Beach Golf Course and stood on the 18th hole.

Heading to the Thomas Kinkaid store in Carmel
After window shopping at Carmel, we went to Demitri restaurant, which got amazing reviews on Yelp.  Jeff ate Lamb and I had a seafood dish.  Around midnight, I started not feeling well.  I didn't sleep well, and by 4am, I was vomiting and had diarrhea.  I soon realized that I had food poisoning.  Much to my dismay, the food was really good, but didn't taste good coming back up.  It took an entire day to feel better.  I'd love to go back because the owner sings and plays a guitar.  It was such a fun atmosphere, I will just have to eat something else next time.

Monterey State Beach.
We enjoyed a relaxing day on the beach in the warm sun while listening to the waves crash.  Can it get any better than this?

We stopped briefly at Dennis the Menace Playground and became nostalgic while thinking of my childhood and many hours spent playing at this park.
