We took surfing lessons, and really enjoyed learning how to surf with Royal Hawaiian Surf Academy. Steve was our surfing instructor. We spent 10 minutes practicing on land first. We were able to get on the board the first time. The weather was sub-par. It was raining and the water got in our eyes, and it was warmer in the water. Aside from the bad weather, it was a lot of fun.
For dinner we went to Ono Tacos which was a small but amazing taco stand. After dinner, we went to Kimo's on Front Street in Lahaina for the renowned Hula Pie. It has an Oreo crust, macadamia nut ice cream, with loads of fudge and whip cream on top.
We had our first hula pie. It was amazing. Macadamia nut ice cream, with a cookie crust, hot fudge and whip cream. Delish!
