Feeding the homeless Christmas Day 2012

We went with our neighbors, the Beijer's to downtown Sacramento early Christmas morning to feed the homeless.  It was a cold morning and there were a lot of hungry people to feed.  The kids were surprised how these people live and their sub-par conditions.  It made them feel that much more grateful for all that they have.  They felt really good inside for feeding the homeless.  Looking back on the entire day, they all said that feeding the homeless was their favorite part of Christmas day, keeping in mind all the presents they got.  Now that's the spirit of Christmas right there and I'm so glad my children were able to grasp that at such an early age.  They can't wait to do it again!
