2013
January «Celebrated
15 years of marriage by taking a trip to Maui «
Kristen & Jeff snorkeled, learned to surf, went zip lining for the first
time, kayaked with the humpback whales, drove the road to Hana and ate way too
many Hula Pies «Drew played another season of basketball & loved it! «Nursed
a cat with a punctured lung and a stomach full of hairbands
February «Played lots of Minute to Win it games
March «Jeff
got his Scuba certification «Easter spent with Kristen’s family in Paso
Robles «Haley started another season of spring Softball on Ambush team (they
nicknamed her “lightning” & “wheels”) «Haley
participated in her first church organized Dance Festival «
Haley donated 12 inches of her beautiful hair to Locks of Love
April «We
had so much fun in Maui that we took the kids (along with Kristen’s parents) to
Oahu for a family vacation «Hiked Diamond Head, snorkeled with fish, Jeff
went scuba diving, went on a Catamaran cruise, got close to the sea turtles,
went to the PCC and visited the temple «Kristen
ran another RAGNAR relay in So.Cal on the Pink Pistols «Drew
started his baseball season on the Giants «Haley
did hurdles on the Track & Field school team
May «Kristen
celebrated her birthday by watching Les Miserables on Broadway «Memorial
weekend at Lake Tahoe with cousins (Jeff took a dip in the freezing water) «Drew
& Sydney made the 33rd Annual El Dorado Spelling Bee «Sydney
graduated from elementary school «
Kristen’s Grandma Kirkie of 99 years old passed away peacefully after living a
long fulfilling life
June «Jeff & Drew played their first golf game together «Haley
was a 2nd year at Girl’s camp «Jeff
went on a scuba trip to Catalina Island with friends «Kristen
took the kids to Les Miserables on Broadway J
uly «Jeff
is a proud new rider & owner of a motorcycle «Vacationed
in SoCal with family « Wallace family reunion in the forests of Yosemite (hiking, biking,
crafting, swimming & playing lots of games) «Family
outing to the A’s game «Jeff ran his first 10K
August «Haley became a teenager and started 8th
grade «Sydney started
middle school and is in 6th grade «Drew turned 8 and started 3rd
grade «Sydney is in
beginning strings playing the violin « Sydney & Drew started another soccer
season
September «Drew was baptized a member of the LDS
church and became a Boy Scout «Jeff took Sydney antelope hunting in
Nevada with friends «Kristen & Jeff ran Napa RAGNAR on team Legs
Miserables, Jeff did amazing for his first RAGNAR « Sydney turned 11 years old «Drew became a good little runner while on
the Cross Country team placing in a few meets «Jeff ran his first ½ marathon
October «We thought we’d never do it, but we
managed to move again «We enjoy the extra space and will LOVE the pool in
the summer «Kristen spent most of the month increasing nursing
certifications, adding 3 more for ER nursing
November «Sadly, we lost Jeff’s father Dale to a
heart attack and we still feel the sting of his loss «Although he is no longer with us, we take
comfort in knowing we have an eternal family «Dad has left a growing legacy «Kristen ran her 3rd RAGNAR in
Las Vegas on team CACOUTWA «Spent a quiet Thanksgiving with the
Wallace family «Jeff went Skydiving from 13,000ft for the first
& hopefully last time
December «Enjoying this Christmas season to
celebrate the birth of our Savior and filling our home with Christ’s spirit which
brings great joy to our family «Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and
may God bless you in 2014

F 4 ½ years at Blue Shield, Jeff continues to
work as a Program Manager
F Kristen started a new position in the ER. There is never a dull moment, and always a
story to tell. She loves working in the
ER!
